NORTH STREET BRIDGE

PROJECT NAME:  Replacement of North Street Bridge Number NH-253-00.39

LOCATION: Village of Plymouth, just south of 224 (a major east/west roadway and near rail lines)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The existing bridge was in very poor condition with an ODOT bridge appraisal rating of 2P and load limit of 20 tons.  The project included minor roadway improvements to widen the road to meet the new bridge.  The new approach guardrails tie into the new bridge rails.

The new bridge improves access along North Street for the area residents, elimates concerns of the fire and bus traffic by providing a wider, safer structure and provided construction and material jobs.  The wider approach also increases visibility at the bridge.
